Vote for Our SXSW Panel on #HealthInnovation

We’re thrilled to share our story of Dayton’s big bet on improving healthcare by design in our proposed panel for SXSW 2016 Interactive.

It was at a leadership retreat in 2014 that members of the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association (GDAHA) took a hard look at their situation as the largest employer in town and said that’s something we want to change.

Betting on its roots in innovation, nationally recognized healthcare systems, its location as home to the Air Force Research Lab, plus, connections with our Kaleidoscope Cincinnati product design and innovation consultancy, the team crafted a bold idea.

At SXSW 2016 Interactive, we’ll discuss with you how Ascend was born as a for-profit way to commercialize healthcare innovation (#HealthInnovation). The latest case studies and innovation ideas from our association of 28 area hospitals and Air Force Research technology work will be included. Our panel talk will provide tangible ideas that can be applied across other environments and in your own back yard.

Your vote will help send our world-class panel to Austin to explore healthcare innovation with you.

Our panel will discuss the latest thinking on how User-Centered Design can make a difference in healthcare. Plus, we’ll discuss the state of the patient journey in our health systems and hot-spot-opportunity-areas for innovation. And while we’re at it, let’s talk about the greatest threats to healthcare innovation today.
