GDAHA and The Strategic Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE), GDAHA’s leading partner in the Western Ohio Healthcare Industry Sector Partnership (ISP), work together to improve and advance Ohio’s Healthcare workforce ecosystems.

Our collaboration leverages strong partnerships among employers, educators, workforce development agencies, government, and community organizations, to better understand the evolving skill demands of Ohio’s industries and prepare Ohioans for the high-demand Healthcare jobs of the future. In addition, the ISP’s strategy provides support and resource opportunities for populations with barriers to employment, works to increase TechCred and IMAP applications, disseminate K-12 curriculum for healthcare, and increase healthcare work-based learning that will strengthen Ohio’s economy.

The Healthcare ISP’s geographical footprint will include Ohio’s western counties including:
GDAHA proudly supports Veterans as they transition from active duty to civilian life by connecting them with healthcare career opportunities in our region through the DOD SkillBridge Program.
Each year, nearly 200,000 U.S. service members separate from active duty—many eager to launch their next chapter. SkillBridge allows employers to tap into this exceptional talent pool while providing Service members with hands-on civilian experience.
In partnership with SOCHE, GDAHA works with employers to design tailored training programs that align with workforce needs—helping Service members build skills and connections before transitioning.
The Healthcare ISP’s geographical footprint includes Ohio’s Western counties in Montgomery, Greene, Fayette, Clinton, Preble, Clark, Miami, Darke, Champaign, Mercer, Shelby, Auglaize, and Logan.
Veterans bring discipline, leadership, and a mission-driven mindset that elevates the healthcare field. SkillBridge doesn’t just offer jobs—it builds pathways to meaningful careers across:
The best part? Participation in the SkillBridge program is free for employers.
