As a regional association, our member services provide the forum for collaboration and shared learning to improve healthcare delivery for our region. Committees, taskforces, and workgroups include diverse stakeholders who join forces to address challenges and highlight best practices.
Defining & Improving Regional Standards
With the support of GDAHA staff, leaders and subject-matter experts define regional standards, policies, and protocols to ensure GDAHA members provide the highest quality care to residents of the Dayton region. Committees are actively engaged in the following areas:

Legislative & Regulatory Affairs
As an advocate for our region’s hospitals, we seek to develop public health policies that support our members’ efforts to deliver state-of-art healthcare services. As the regional resource for healthcare information, we strive to cultivate positive relationships with elected officials and agency leadership.
Human Trafficking Initiative
GDAHA has convened a Human Trafficking Workgroup to establish a network of Human Trafficking advocates within each of our regional hospitals and formalize the use of identification and intervention best practices across the region.
Disaster Medical Assistance Team
The Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT OH5), part of the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS), supplements the integrated national medical response capability by assisting state and local authorities with the medical impacts of major peacetime disasters.

WCO Preparedness Coalition
Health care organizations and emergency service providers across the Western Central Ohio (WCO) care continuum have formed the West Central Ohio Healthcare Preparedness Coalition to support one another during times of need or emergency.
